Capitals Overtime

Over the weekend, I saw a few Tweets saying things like, “was that John Carlson in a carpet commercial?” and other’s like, “wait, I think I just saw John Carlson in a carpet commercial.” So I assumed this post was soon to come. RMNB went ahead and made it a reality posting two new Hadeed Carpet commercials with Caps second year defenseman John Carlson. I chose to highlight this one, it has a bit more of John and includes a few awesome aspects:

1. I think John does the “Tim Tebow” or “Tebowing,” the new craze that took over where “Planking” began. You be the judge.

2. Bongo drums. I believe there are bongo drums in fake John Carlson’s room. And oddly enough, I think I have the same exact set sitting in my mother’s basement covered in dust.

3. Love the acting. Both on the part of John and young John. I grew up in St. Louis, a city that prides itself on really great low-budget advertising. As a kid, this Carlson/Hadeed commercial would have been a huge favorite of mine.
